Your dog belongs there. So he deserves a place in the car that is just as good as at home. To create that place, we first had to be honest about our first car seats.
Where it is began
For us, our dog is not a pet, but a full member of the family. That's where DogSeat it started. For the first two years we made our car seats in China.
The longer they were in the car, the more we saw that something was not right. The fabric was wrinkled. The zippers weren’t what we wanted. And the padding, which was quite good at first, shrank within a short time. A day at the beach or in the forest, and the sand went right through it.
That didn’t sit well with us. A car seat that collapses after a short time is not the place we had in mind for your dog.
We chose the long road
We could have left it as is. We chose to do it differently.
We are our own car seats Design yourself. And we were looking for an atelier close to home, in Europe, where we could be alongside the people who make them. Since the beginning of 2025, they are being made there.
In the atelier
Everything happens there by hand, Especially by women. They cut the fabric, assemble each car seat and fill it up. No automated production line, just hands that know what they’re doing.
A few times a year we go there. Then we discuss the collection together, and we look for new fabrics with the samples in our hands. We make each design together with them: we know what your dogs need, they know how to make it.

The first two years
Our car seats come from China. We learn what needs to be improved.

The Harvey Lounge is our first model from Europe.
After that
The Bella Adventure following.

The Royal Deluxe and the Luna Cruise.
Now
90% of the collection is made in Europe.
And the Other 10%
Two models are still being manufactured outside of Europe: the Rover Breeze and the Buddy Travel. The cooling fabric in Europe Rover Breeze is difficult to find. We will continue to search.

Where are the car seats DogSeat made?
We design them in the Netherlands, together with our studio in Europe. There they are handmade. 90% of the collection come from Europe; the Rover Breeze rest Buddy Travel are made outside Europe.
Why not go to China anymore?
The fabric creased, the zippers weren’t good enough, and the padding quickly sagged and let sand through. To improve the quality, we’ve been making it in Europe since the beginning of 2025.
