Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 22, 2026

On dogseat.nl we use cookies and similar techniques. Here you can read about which ones, for what purposes, and how you can decide for yourself what you allow. Questions? Email us info@dogseat.nl.

1. What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your computer, tablet or phone. This allows the site to recognize you, remember your shopping cart or measure how the site is used. Some cookies disappear when you close the browser (session cookies), others remain stored for a while. In addition to cookies, we use similar techniques, such as local storage, session storage and pixels. In this policy, we refer to all of these as “cookies”.

2. Your choice

On your first visit, we ask you via a banner what you allow. You choose between Accept everything, Refuse everything or Adjusting (on or off per type). We only place statistics and marketing cookies after you have given your consent. If you refuse, the store will still work. You will then only see ads that are less suited to you.

You can always change your choice via the button. “Change your consent” on the website. You can also delete or block cookies via the settings of your browser. Your saved preferences and your shopping cart will then also disappear.

We keep your choice for 12 months. After that, we ask you again.

3. Which cookies do we use?

a) Necessary (always on)

Without these cookies, the online store does not work. They remember your shopping cart, your language and currency, keep the checkout secure, protect the site from malicious bot traffic, and remember your cookie preferences. These cookies do not require consent.

Examples: WooCommerce (shopping cart and checkout), WooPayments (payment and currency), TranslatePress (translation), Cloudflare (security), CookieConfirm (your cookie choices), our choice helper (remembers your answers during the filling in process).

b) Statistics

With this we see how visitors use the site: which pages they view, where they come from and where they get stuck. This helps us make the site better and faster. Where possible, we measure this without your name or contact details.

Partners: Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity (how pages are used, such as clicks and scrolling; input in forms is not stored), Jetpack/WordPress.com (visit statistics), WooCommerce (source of an order, for example via which ad or link you came in).

c) Marketing

With this, we measure whether our ads are working and show ads that suit you, also on other websites and apps. These partners can track you across multiple websites.

Partners: Google Ads, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Microsoft Advertising (Bing), Beslist.nl, Omnisend (our email and pop-ups).

Measurement via our own server

Part of our measurements run through a dedicated server from DogSeat (processed by TAGGRS, in the EU) before it goes to Google or Meta. This means that less information goes directly to those parties. Your choice regarding this applies to the banner as well: no statistics or marketing measurements without consent.

4. Overview of all cookies

Below is the current list: each cookie with the party behind it, the purpose and how long it is kept. The list is updated automatically.

5. Cookies from other parties

Some cookies are placed by the partners listed above. Those parties also use the data in accordance with their own privacy policies. With the largest partners (such as Google and Meta), data may end up outside the EU. This happens based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contract provisions of the European Commission.

Read more about what we do with your personal data in our privacy policy.

6. Changes

If we use other cookies, we will adapt this policy and, if necessary, ask for permission again. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
